RULES
- At the AGM each member will be given a number based on their alphabetic surname.
- If there is more than 1 member with the same surname, then the Christian name will be used.
- The draw will comment with the first number being drawn, the name of that member relating to that number will be the first person in section 1 group 1, the second number drawn, the name of that member relating to that number will be the second person in section 1 group 1, the third number drawn, the name of that member relating to that number will be the third and final person in section 1 group 1.
- The forth number drawn, the name of that member relating to that number will be the first person in section 1 group 2, the second number drawn, the name of that member relating to that number will be the second person in section 1 group 2, the third number drawn, the name of that member relating to that number will be the third and final person in section 1 group 2.
- The draw will continue using the same process until all the sections and groups have been completed.
- If there are not 27 members in the draw, then the vacant numbers will still be used.
- The competition will start on the first match allocated to the competition.
- Each member in each of the three-member section and group will fish against each other.
- The winner of their three member section will be awarded 3 points, the second 2 points and the third will be awarded 1 point.
- In the instance that only 2 members fishing a match, the winner will still be awarded 3 points and the second 2 points, and the missing member will be awarded 0 points.
- Where a member is unable to fish then they will be awarded 0 points.
- At the end of the preliminary rounds the member who as the most points in their section and group will go through to the semi-final.
- If there are any sections where member have the same amount of points at the end of the 3 matches, then the member with the highest total weight over the 3 preliminary matches will go through to the semi-finals.
- The Semi-Finals will be run on the same basis as the preliminary round.
- Group 1, 2 and 3 winners will fish against each other in section 1.
- Group 4, 5 and 6 winners will fish against each other in section 2
- Group 7, 8 and 9 winners will fish against each other in section 3
- The winner of their three member section will be awarded 3 points, the second 2 points and the third will be awarded 1 point.

- At the end of the semi-final rounds the member who as the most points in their section and group will go through to the final.
- If there are any sections where member have the same amount of points at the end of the 3 matches, then the member with the highest total weight over the 3 semi-final matches will go through to the finals.
- If after taking the points and weight into account to establish the winner of a semi-final section a winner still cannot be established, then the total point from the preliminary rounds and the semi-final rounds are added to establish the member with the highest points will go through to the final.
- If after adding up the total points a winner is not established the member with the highest total weight over the preliminary and Semi-final matches will be the winner.
- The final will be run on the same basis as the preliminary and the semi-final rounds.
- The winner of their three-member match will be awarded 3 points, the second 2 points and the third will be awarded 1 point.
- In the instance that only 2 members fishing a match, the winner will still be awarded 3 points and the second 2 points, and the missing member will be awarded 0 points.
- Where a member is unable to fish then they will be awarded 0 points.
- At the end of the final 3 rounds the member who as the most points will be deemed the winner.
- If at the end of the 3 match final members have the same amount of points, then the member with the highest total weight over the 3 final matches will be deemed the winner.
- If after taking the points and weight into account to establish the winner still cannot be established, then the total point from the preliminary rounds and the semi-final rounds are added to establish the winner.
- If after adding up the total points a winner is not established the member with the highest total weight over the preliminary and Semi-final matches will be the winner.
- All members disputes will be dealt with by the secretary and his or her decision will be final.
