SHIELD RULES
- Before the start of the competition each member will be allocated which section they will be competing in via a random draw.
- Each member in each section will fish against each other in line with the fixtures.
- Each member who wins a fixture match will be awarded 2 points for that win., the loser receives 0 point.
- · If the loser of a fixture weighs in within 1 pound of the winner then they will be awarded 1 point.
- · The member with the highest points at the end of the 5 nominated matches in their designated section will go forward to the semi –final.
- If there are any individual section where the highest members have the same points then the member with the highest weight over the nominated 5 matches will go though to the semi—final .
- In the semi—finals the winner of section 1 will fish against the winner of section 3, the winner of section 2 will fish against winner of section 4.
- Each member who wins a fixture in their semi—final group match will be awarded 2 points for that win, the loser receives 0 point.
- If the loser of a semi –final fixture weighs in within 1 pound of the winner then they will be awarded 1 point.
- If after the final semi—final match to 2 members have the same amount of point then member with the highest weight over the semi—final matches will go though to the final .
- The winner of the final will be the member with the highest weight in the final match.
- if 1 of the finalist are unable to fish the final then the DEFETED MEMBER IN THAT SEMI-FINAL WILL FISH IN THE FINAL.
- If both finalist are unable to fish the final then the TWO DEFETED MEMBERS FOR THE SEMI-FINAL WILL FISH IN THE FINAL.
