FIRST OFFICIAL WIN FOR FRANK
Not only did Bob Hinks win the match at Woodland View he also collected the Bonus Peg money from peg 34. Fishing at various distances throughout the match Bob put his corner peg to good use landing some nice looking carp for a winning weight of a level 42 pound. Along with winning the match and Bonus peg envelopes Bob will also collect the Edna Cox Memorial Trophy.
Jeff Turner put a nice mixed bag of Carp and Bream onto the scales which shot around to 39 pound which was enough for the second placed prize from peg 49. Jeff lost a few fish during the match which could have swung the result in his favour, but that’s fishing.
Juan Periera seem to be struggling from peg 46 during the early stages of the match but a good last hour turned his fortunes around for a good third placed finish with just under 34 pound.
Ian Rennie continued his good start to the season finishing fourth with 30 pound from peg 63. Ian surprised all by abandoning his usual all feeder approach and used the pole for an hour and landed the biggest fish of the season to date a 9 pound 1 ounce Carp.
Andy Taylor ended in Fifth place with 25-02 whilst Brian Tovey did enough with 24 pound to finish in sixth place.
