the "fish" wins the last match
The final match in the Saturday Charity Series produced good weights all around the Willow Pool at Lower Broadheath. The 11 taking part (8 members and 3 GUESTS) had to endure some heavy showers during the match but it didn’t dampen the spirit from start to finish.
The match was won by one of the GUESTS appropriately named "Fish" who put together a magnificent weight of 190 pounds 8 ounces from peg 6. Second place went to Neil Ward who fished opposite the winner in peg 5 and put 103 pound 8 ounces onto the scales.
Completing the top three was Rob Cox who just fell short of the ton with 99 pound 7 onces.
A big thanks to all those who took part and special thanks to Neil Ward, Martyn Harris, and Steve Cox who donated their winnings to the Charity on the day which helped push the total raised on the day to £95.
A big thank must go to the guy who arranged all the matches this season Daz Haynes.

Mick takes the title

Although mick's last two results were not up to his USUAL standards the first two results SHOWED him coming out top of the league. it might have been a closer thing if frank hadn't missed one of the matches and rob missing two matches.
A BIG VOTE OF THANKS MUST GO TO DAZ HAYNES FOR ORGANISING ALL THE SATURDAY CHARITY MATCHES AND i'M SURE ALL HIS EFFORTS WILL BE REWARDED WITH A FANTASTIC DONATION GOING TO THIS YEAR'S CHARITY.
