DAVE WINS AT SOLHAMPTON

Dave Skinner enjoyed his day on the Kingfisher Pool at Solhampton Fishery by taking the honours with some 17 pounds to spare. Fishing just left of the pool entrance on Peg 15 Dave used the feeder throughout the contest starting on corn then changing to a maggot feeder half way through to put a level 42 pound on the scales and will see him lift the Friendship Trophy at the presentation evening. Runners-up Steve Taylor caught mostly on the pole from peg 9 for his total of 24 pound 14 ounces at the weigh in. Steve caught at various distances and depths on mainly maggots. On the other side of the pool on peg 22 Frank Wallace claimed the third place prize by putting 21 pound 6 ounces onto the scales at the final whistle. The two section winners where Pete Bullock who had the fourth best weight overall from peg 17 and Daz Haynes who managed 11 pound 10 ounces from peg 7. Simon Spence and Martyn Harris both weighed in over 12 pounds for 5th and 6th.
