Andy takes the tankard trophy
Andy Taylor showed that he was a good all-rounder by winning the silver match a Sion Farm Fishery, Andy had a good start by taking fish on the white maggot at 4 metres out. When that line started to dry up he went to a 10 metre line, there he caught a better stamp of fish but not as regular as on the 4 metre line so back on the 4 metre not much luck on that line so started fishing at 2 metres fish started to come and then a carp this messed the swim up for a while still the result proved he had done enough at the start to win. It was a different situation for second placed Keiren he started the match by hooking a carp and lost about 15 minutes of the match trying to get rid of it, once off he was able to build up his weight through out the remainder of the match. Although Paul Hotchkiss had his concerns about catching silvers before the match he had no renovations as he put a good 12lb on the scales. John Male took the forth place envelop with just under 11lb.
Jeff Turner had hooked into a carp early in the match and it had took his top 3 sections into the lake, towards the end of the match we sore the strangest thing. The carp who was still attached to the sections must have bottomed the sections out and we sore the sections come out of the water with the yellow elastic being stretched out like the sails of a ship, unfortunately it was too far out for anyone to try to retrieve it. Sorry Jeff.
