THE MATCH HAD TO BE CHANGED DUE TO PROBLEMS AT BONEHILL MILL AND STEVE CERTAINLY TOOK A LIKING FOR THE PLACE WEIGHING IN A LEVEL 54 POUND. STEVE USED THE POLE AND MAGGOTS FOR HIS ALL-CARP CATCH FROM PEG 14 IN THE FAR CORNER. STEVE WILL WIN THE LONDON TAXI TROPHY FOR HIS EFFORTS.
JUST A POUND SHY OF THE WINNER WAS SIMON SPENCE WHO COLLECTED THE RUNNERS-UP PRIZE FROM PEG 18. SIMON TOOK A FEW ON THE FEEDER TO THE ISLAND BEFORE MOVING HIS ATTACK TO THE SHORT POLE FOR SOME NICE-LOOKING FISH.
ROB COX FROM PEG 31 CLOSE TO THE ENTRANCE PUT AN ALL-CARP NET ON THE SCALES FOR 43 POUND 8 OUNCES WHICH WAS ENOUGH FOR THE THIRD PLACE ENVELOPE. ROB HAD NO JOY ON THE FEEDER EARLY DOORS BUT FOUND THE FISH AT 6 METRES ON MAGGOT WHICH INCLUDED A FEW LUMPS.
PETER BULLOCK WAS STRUGGLING EARLY ON FROM PEG 13 AND LIKE MOST CHANGED TO DEAD RED MAGGOTS TO LAND 40 POUND 14 OUNCES TO GIVE HIM FOURTH PLACE. THE TWO SECTION PRIZES WENT TO FRANK WALLACE WITH 37 POUND 8 OUNCES AND MARTYN HARRIS WHO TURNED THE SCALES TO 34 POUND 4 OUNCES.
