FRANK REIGNS AT ALVECHURCH
Frank Wallace along with the other members had to overcome some heavy rain at today’s match at Alvechurch Fishery on the Canal Pool. The rain did not dampen Franks fishing as he landed the biggest weight of the season just shy of 164 pound. Fishing from Peg 11 he caught a good average size Carp throughout the Five hour match at top Two and One with banded pallet to win the Tankard Trophy along with the winners envelope. Fishing in the next peg to the winner Rob Cox after a slow start managed to push the scales around to 105 pound 4 ounces which was enough for second place. Fishing at various lengths on the pole, Rob found the fish close in towards the end of the match which helped him over the line for second. Michael “Faz” Farrell took the Third place coin fishing from peg 7. Faz started the match at middle distance fishing a single maggot up in the water and after that dried up he went to the far side of the pool catching some nice Carp which helped at the weigh in. Paul Hotchkiss continued his fine form of late to finish Fourth with a very respectful 73 pound 6 ounces from peg 24. Steve Tayler ended the match in Fifth place from end peg 26. Steve unfortunately snapped his top kit mid match. All by himself at the far end of the Pool Andy Taylor managed sixth with 58-08.
