THE FORMIDABLE DAZ WINS HIS SECOND MATCH OF THE SEASON

Daz Haynes collected his second win of the season when winning at Moorlands Farm on the High Meadow Pool. Daz showed his dominance from peg 4 winning the match with over 10 pound to spare. He fished mainly in the margins with maggots for his total weight of 58 pound 8 ounces. Michael Farrell continued his fine form claiming runners-up spot from peg 45 on the opposite side of the pool to the winner. Faz caught all his fish on the feeder which pushed the scales to just over 48 pound. Third place went to Ian Rennie who fished from peg 8 and used the same tactics as runners-up Michael Farrell. Ian put a nice net of fish onto the scales for just shy of 42 pound. It’s great to see Ian continuing his fine form of late. The Three sections winners where Frank Wallace who mustered 38 pound 4 ounces in Section One, Steve Tayler who fished up the far end of the pool for 25 pound 12 ounces which was enough for section Two, Nick Hull claimed the Third section with just over 16 pound from peg 36. Couple of special mentions firstly for Paul Connell who fished a good match in peg 11 finishing with 30 pound 04 ounces which was enough for 5th overall. And finally to all the members for their support this season, It’s my last match of 2023 season and I’m already looking forward to our 20th season next year.
