SINGING IN THE RAIN FRANK WALLACE WINS THE FINAL MATCH

Regular Guest this season Frank Wallace certainly like the rain at Bonehill Mill when winning our final match of the 2018 season with over 15 pound to spare. Fishing from peg 27 (which won the open the day before) Frank started on the feeder and with a couple of fish in the net turned to the pole in the margins where he caught consistently throughout the rest of the match to end up with 67-01 which included a couple of lumps. Unfortunately due to club rules Frank can not lift the London Taxi Trophy which goes with the final match of the season. The trophy will be collected by Ian Hughes who finished second fishing in the next peg to winner Ian put 52 pound onto the scales using similar tactics to Frank. It’s been a good season for Ian who will be promoted from the Third Division as Champion and let’s hope he can continue his Fine form into next season. Juan Periera collected the third place envelope Ending with a level 51 pound from peg 18 on The right hand side of the Dales Pool. Like Most of the members Juan presented some nice looking fish to the scales which he caught mainly with the feeder. It was nice to see Kieran Smith back in the frame again after a couple of poor matches by his standard. Kieran weighed in 49 pound from peg 9 which proved enough for the fourth placed envelope. The section prizes where collected by Jim Barron and Paul Hotchkiss. Paul finished 5th in the match with Ian Rennie running him close in Sixth. The best net of the day surely goes to Darren Bullock who weighed in with 35 pound in which 25 pound where Bream.
