A super breakfast at the pub put everyone in a great mood before the start of the match, but the extra toast must have given Ian Rennie the edge over everyone as for the second time he took the honours, (although Rob Cox is looking for his cut of the cash due to the fact that before the match Ian dropped his fags in the stinging nettles in a place his big hands could reach so Rob got them for him, but in the proceed Rob finished up with tingling hand for a good part of the match). Ian fished a feeder at 2 rod lengths out by a tree (it is suggested in Rob's peg) to beat brother Paul by 4lb who himself through the feeder to the far side of the pool. Brian Tovey showed his angling ability by taking 3rd place fishing the pole tight to the reeds and Pete Bullock filled the 4th place with a nice net of silvers.
I would like to thank everyone who took part in the match which raised £116.00 for Ian nominated charity. Special thanks to Alan Whitmore who ran a card of which he donated the precedes also to Darren Bullock who won £5 for the first fish caught which he also donated (pity he could maintain the catch rate throughout the match)
It was great to hear from a number of participants that although the fishing was not all that great the day was well worth it as the grub, the weather and the company was great and everyone caught fish.
