THE LONG WAIT IS OVER as PAUL WINS AT WASSELL GROVE.
Paul Hotchkiss on his 65th attempt finally collected his first individual win when taking the honours at Wassell Grove. Paul has taken doubles and teams of three titles but this is the one he has been waiting for. Pegged on the match pool 10 he sent the scales around to 24 pound 6 ounces which included a 12 pound lump which is the biggest fish of the season to date.
Frank Wallace collected the runners up spot with just over 15 pound from peg 29 on the match pool. Frank had to rely on a borrowed pole after breaking his own last weekend but he soon got into the swing putting a nice mixed net of Silvers and stockies onto the scales.
Michael Farrell will certainly have a bad back in the morning after using the long pole throughout the five hours for 13 pound 2 ounces from peg 22 which was enough for third place.
Rob Cox picked up the fourth place envelope landing a few Carp and silvers from peg 12 on the left hand side of the match pool. Like third place Michael, Rob used the long pole for the majority of the match but he picked up a few fish on the margin line late on.
Ian Rennie finished in fifth place with 12-06 and Andy Taylor did enough for sixth with 11-09.
Steve Cox and Ian Rennie picked up the section winnings.
Many thanks to the weigh in team who did a fantastic job covering both pools in reasonable time.
