JEFF, COLIN, AND SEAN LAND THE PERFECT SCORE AT SOLHAMPTON
For the first time in history in our team event Jeff Turner, Colin Parsonage, and Sean Durrant landed the perfect score of Three points to win the Dave Robinson Memorial Team Trophy.
Fishing on the Kingfisher pool at Solhampton the winning trio all collected one point for winning their respective sections. Sean Durrant had the top weight of the day when putting just over 71 pound on the scales from section three, Jeff caught well throughout the match with 53-02 in section one, Colin Parsonage can be well pleased with his 41-08 in section two.
Calculators where out to decide the runners up with two teams finishing level on 12 points, after all the weights where added up it was team 4 with the honours. The team was made up of Dave Skinner, Juan Periera, and Michael Farrell, Juan collected two points from section two, Michael took four points from section three, Dave had to settle for sixth in section one. Team two (Brian Tovey, John Male, and Kieran Smith) took the third place just missing out by 4 pounds. Kieran put the second best weight of the day on the scales with 60 pound from section three.
