Dave Crosby fishing one of the pools favoured pegs (17) left it until ‘Fish On’ time at the final whistle to win the final match of the season at Fisherwick Lakes. Dave will collect the London Taxi Trophy for his efforts using a mix of feeder over the far side and the pole in the margins to top the field with 26-4.
Sean Durrant rounded off another fine season to claiming the runners-up spot from peg 12. Sean was a little behind the rest due to his late arrival, but he wasted no time in putting together a nice mixed bag for 23-4.
Steve Cox saved his best performance of the season until the last match to finish in third position with 22-8 from peg 16. Steve used the pole throughout the match at various distances and will be kicking himself for all the lost fish in the last hour.
Pete Bullock gave a polished display from another fancied, peg 31 to finish in the frame with 18-2. Pete found it hard work early on until he fished the margins late on to find some carp which was enough for the fourth place envelope.
John Male finished the match in fifth place with 17-4, Paul Hotchkiss ended with 15-10 from peg 11 for sixth.
