FIRST OFFICIAL WIN FOR FRANK
Congratulations to Frank Wallace who won his first official victory since becoming a full member taking the honours on Horseshoe Pool at Alvechurch Fishery. Frank won a couple of matches at the back end of last season fishing as a guest but with the win he will collect the Silverware at the presentation. Fishing from peg 19 he used a variation of distances on the pole and for a short time on the feeder landing a nice bag of Carp and a few silvers for an ounce over 49 pound. On the other side of the pool Ian Rennie continued his excellent Start to the 2019 season taking The runners-up envelope with a Mixed bag pushing the scales to Just under the 48 pound mark. Ian used his trusted feeder approach throughout the five hour match but wasted time getting caught up in the over hanging trees. Another member having a good start to the new campaign is Sean Durrant who finished third from peg 18 near the top corner of the Pool. Sean like most of those taking part used pole and feeder and managed to put a level 44 pound on to the scales at the final whistle. Just a couple of pegs away from Sean, Andy Taylor collected the fourth place winnings with a nice looking net of Carp and a few Bream. One of the Carp sent the scales around to 9 pound 14 ounce which is the biggest fish of the season to date. Jeff Turner with 37-08 finished fifth and Dave Skinner after a slow start ended in sixth with 32-14.
