FAZ WINS FIRST MATCH LANDING TWO LUMPS ON HIS WAY TO VICTORY
MICHAEL FARRELL CERTAINLY HAD A EVENTFUL MATCH AT BROOKEND FISHERY, FIRST HE ARRIVED LATE NOT FEELING TO WELL AFTER A FEW TO MANY THE NIGHT BEFORE BUT THIS DID NOT STOP HIM WINNING THE MATCH AND THE PAT & LOUISE MEMORIAL TROPHY. FAZ FISHING FROM PEG 6 STARTED ON THE FEEDER TO THE ISLAND WITHOUT SUCCESS THEN HE CHANGED TO THE LONG POLE ON SINGLE MAGGOT AND CAUGHT TWO LUMPS THE BIGGEST BEING 13 POUND 8 OUNCES WHICH HELPED IN HIS WINNING WEIGHT OF 24 POUND 14 OUNCES.
RANK WALLACE COLLECTED THE SECOND PLACE ENVELOPE, FROM PEG 15 HE MANAGED TO LAND A NICE LOOKING CARP ON HIS FIRST PUT IN USING THE LONG POLE. FRANK ADDED A MIXTURE OF SILVERS THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE MATCH WHICH PUSHED THE SCALES TO 11 POUND 9 OUNCES.
IT WAS NICE TO SEE DARREN BULLOCK COLLECTING SOME PRIZE MONEY WHICH WILL HELP TO PAY FOR HIS NEW POSH TROLLEY. DARREN LEFT IT VERY LATE IN THE MATCH TO SECURE THE THIRD PLACE LANDING A NICE CARP IN HIS FINAL WEIGHT OF 9 POUND 2 OUNCE.
ROB COX ENJOYED CATCHING HIS ALL SILVER BAG FROM PEG 12 WHICH WAS ENOUGH FOR FOURTH PLACE. ROB USED THE POLE THROUGHOUT AND ENDED THE MATCH WITH 6 POUND 12 OUNCE.
DAVE SKINNER AND DAZ HAYNES BOTH PUT 6 POUND 8 OUNCES ON THE SCALES TO SHARE FIFTH PLACE AND THE SECTION PRIZE, THE OTHER SECTION WAS WON BY JEFF TURNER WITH A LEVEL 4 POUND.
THE UNLUCKY MEMBER OF THE DAY MUST GO TO BIRTHDAY BOY PETE BULLOCK WHO WAS SNAPPED FOUR TIMES FROM PEG 10 IN THE CORNER AND THEY WHERE VERY BIG FISH.
