AT LONG LAST taxi FOR IAN RENNIE

The one trophy Ian Rennie as always wanted to win is the London Taxi Trophy, since we introduced the award in 2005 he has tried his very best in every last match of the season, well the wait is over with Ian finally getting his hands on the trophy after winning at Bonehill Mill. Fishing in peg 19 he used his trusted Feeder approach to land some nice looking Carp which pushed the scales around to a level 62 pound. Mary Turner saved her best finish of the season for the last match to finish second. Helped with a Carp which weighed in just shy of 14 pound Mary sent the scales around to 50 pound exactly. Fishing from peg 12 like the winner she used the feeder throughout the match. Pete Bullock collected the Third place prize fishing from peg 7. It was a mixed match for Pete who struggled early on but mid way through the match he decided to fish up in the water and reaped the rewards catching some nice Carp and Bream for just over 43 pound. Michael Farrell rounded off a good season finishing in Fourth spot with just over 42 pound. Faz used the feeder and long pole throughout the five hours and said at the weigh in “he lost to many fish to trouble the first Three”. New member this season Steve Tayler finished the day in Fifth position followed by Paul Hotchkiss from the Golden Peg 8.
