Kieran Smith collected the honours at Willow Marsh when he put 35lb 8oz on the scales which gave him victory by seven and half pounds. Kieran like most on the day could not believe how many fish where spawning on the Dragon Fly Pool and he had to wait along time before hooking into a nice 12lb 8oz Carp using the long pole up in the water. Kieran changed his tactics later in the match by going deeper which brought more success and a well deserved victory which sees him lift the Crosby Cup.
On the favoured peg 38 Dave Skinner gave his normal consistent performance to land 27lbs which was enough for him to claim second place. Dave used the feeder throughout the match for his all Carp catch.
Darren Bullock was into fish early doors from the nearside peg 3. Darren used the long pole with various baits to claim third spot with a weight of 19lb 1oz.
It was unusual to see John Male begin on the feeder but he must of known something because he ended up in fourth place with 17-14. John was a little unlucky later in the match when he lost a good fish which could have pushed him into third spot.
Juan Periera is having a good start to the season he began the match with a fish first cast which sorted him out for fifth place with 17lb. Running him close was Rob Cox who scaled 16-5 for sixth.
