IAN IS BACK TO WINNING WAYS

They say the sun always shines on the righteousness well it certainly shined on us today at Alvechurch with high temperatures throughout the match. After a indifferent start to the season Ian Rennie bounced back to winning ways on the Horseshoe Lake in some style. He used his trusted feeder approach to put over 62 pound onto the scales to win with over 12 pound to spare. Fishing from peg 28 on the right hand side of the Lake, Ian caught some nice looking Carp throughout the Five hours.
Second placed Brian Tovey continued his fine form of late putting together an all Carp catch for 49lb 10oz from peg 7 on the opposite side to the winner. Brian’s excellent result moves him into a three point lead in Division Two. Just like the winner Ian, Dave Skinner used the Feeder to good effect from peg 13 pushing The scales to 47lb 06oz which proved enough for third place.
Paul Hotchkiss produced his best performance of the season to collect the Fourth place envelope with 35lb 09oz. Paul was pegged next to Brian and his mixed sore him rise up the Division 2 table. Juan Periera managed to finish fifth, with Ian Hughes taking Sixth. Although Kieran Smith finished in Eighth it was good enough for one of the section prizes.

Many thanks to all for the minutes silence observed before the match in honour of Dave Robinson.
