FRANK WINS AT LOWER PARK
Frank Wallace fishing from peg 17 on the Park Pool turned what looked like a disappointing match into a winning one with some nice looking Carp in the last hour. After just picking up bit’s in the first four hours Frank turned to the margins on Meat and secured three Carp the best being 12 pound 8 ounces which pushed his weight to 30 pound 10 ounces at the FINAL WHISTLE.
Michael Farrell fished a good match from peg 11 on Island Pool to claim second place, but for a lull mid match Faz would have certainly pushed the winner. He caught most of his fish up in the water on pellet but added a few on the feeder to the island and finished with 29 pound 12 ounces.
Third place went to our guest Nick Hull who put nearly 24 pound on the scales from peg 20 on Island Pool.
Ron Evans took the Fourth place prize with a nice mixed bag from peg 1 on Island Pool which pushed the scales out to 22 pound 4 ounces at the weigh in. Ron lost a couple of fish at the net late on.
The two section envelopes went to Steve Tayler and Dave Skinner. Steve landed a lump from peg 12 on Park which helped in his 21 pound 14 ounces.
Dave was on Island peg 6 and fished the feeder throughout for a level 13 pound.
Highlights of the day a cracking net of 16 pound 8 ounces of Silvers from Andy Taylor and a smashing net of Barbel from new member Martyn Harris for 12 pound 4 ounces.
