peter wins with 15lb to spare.
Peter Bullock won a very windy match on the Horseshoe Lake at Alvechurch Fishery in convincing style with just over 15 pound to spare. Fishing from peg 21 (just his age) he used the feeder throughout the match to land some nice Carp which helped him put a level 57 pound on the scales. “It was like fishing in the sea” he commented after the match but the win will see him lift the Lee Wellard Trophy.
It was great to see Dave Crosby collecting some winnings after his second place finish. Dave sat through the first couple of hours without a bite, things changed when he started to use the pole close in and landed a flurry of fish to finish with 41-15.
Andy Taylor continued his consistent good form to collect the third place envelope. Like the winner Andy had to overcome the windy conditions to put 40 pound 12 ounces onto the scales.
John Male fell short of third placed Andy by just one ounce but his 40-11 was enough for Fourth spot. John got busted twice during the match and if he had landed them who knows where he would have finished.
Jeff Turner managed fifth spot, whilst newcomer to the club Paul Connell finished sixth. Darren Bullock along with Jeff collected the section wins.
