final league position
congratulations to Paul
With the top two positions already decided before the final match at Bonehill Mill in the First Division, all the attention turned to the bottom of the table to see who could avoid the drop to Division Two along with Andy Taylor. Unfortunately John Male due to illness had to miss the match and consequently with his ten points will be relegated from the top flight for the first time since we introduced the three division system.
So it’s congratulations to Paul Hotchkiss who won the Division by 4 points from Kieran Smith who has now finished runners-up for the third time in the last Four season’s.

congratulations to Juan
It was rolls reversed in the Second Division we knew who where being sadly relegated before the final match but we did not know the two members who where being promoted. With long time leader Sean Durrant missing it was a case of whether Peter Bullock or Juan Periera could overturn the deficit. Juan had the divisional win and will go up has Champion, Pete was sweating with a poor result but he did enough to secure 5 points which put him in front of Sean by a single point.
I don’t think we have ever had a member with Five divisional wins fail to gain promotion but Sean missed Three matches which proved vital to his final points tally.

CONGRATULATIONS TO IAN
We knew before the final match that Ian Hughes would go up from the Third Division as Champion but the matter on who would go up with him went down to the final match. Colin Parsonage, Michael Farrell, and Jim Barron where all in contention but it will be Colin Parsonage who will be in the Second Division next season by gaining Three points at Bonehill. Jim Barron finished in Third position although he ended with the same points as Michael he had the better overall weight throughout the season.
