FRANK WINS AGAIN ON THE CANAL POOL
FRANK WALLACE MADE IT THREE WINS ON THE TROT ON THE CANAL LAKE AT ALVECHURCH FISHERIES WITH A VERY IMPRESSIVE WEIGHT OF JUST OVER 111 POUND. FISHING FROM PEG 10 DOWN THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE LAKE FRANK USED THE LONG POLE THROUGHOUT THE MATCH TO LAND A MIXTURE OF CARP AND BARBLE WITH A FEW OTHER SILVERS. THE TRIPLE WINNER WILL COLLECT THE CROSBY CUP FOR HIS SUCCESS.
ROB COX FISHING TWO PEGS AWAY FROM THE WINNER PUT HIS BEST WEIGHT OF THE SEASON ONTO THE SCALES TO FINISH IN SECOND PLACE. LIKE THE WINNER ROB USED THE LONG POLE WHICH PROVED DIFFICULT AT TIMES WITH THE CROSS WIND AND HE PRODUCED A MIXED NET TO THE SCALES FOR ONE OUNCE SHORT OF 90 POUND.
ANOTHER MEMBER ENJOYING HIS MATCH WAS THIRD PLACED PAUL HOTCHKISS WHO WAS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE LAKE TO THE LEADING TWO ON PEG 20. IT BECAME A TREND FOR ALL THOSE TAKING PART TO FISH ACROSS AND PAUL FOLLOWED THE TREND AND PUT TOGETHER A NICE LOOKING BAG OF MIXED FISH FOR 86 POUND 14 OUNCES.
SIMON SPENCE FINISHED IN FOURTH PLACE BUT UNFORTUNATELY MISSED OUT ON THE FOURTH PLACE ENVELOPE DUE TO ONLY 19 FISHING THE MATCH. SIMON DID COLLECT THE SECTION PRIZE WITH ANOTHER NICE BAG OF CARP AND BARBLE FOR 84 POUND 3 OUNCES.
RON EVANS TOOK THE OTHER SECTION PRIZE WITH 67 POUND 8 OUNCES FROM PEG 5.
MARTYN HARRIS WAS NOT FAR BEHIND IN SIXTH WITH 64 POUND 4 OUNCES FROM PEG 7.
I THINK ALL THE MEMBERS DESERVED A GOOD MATCH REGARDS THE WEIGHTS PRODUCED AFTER WHAT’S BEEN A DISSAPOINTING RUN OF RESULTS THROUGHOUT THE 2021 SEASON. LET’S HOPE IT CONTINUES AT SOLHAMPTON
