MORE SILVERWARE FOR SIMON
Simon Spence collected his second Individual
win of the season by winning match 8 at Lower Park on Highland and Pebble pools. With 21 fishing we had 8 on the Pebble Pool and 13 on Highland Pool.
Simon Spence won the match fishing from peg 17 on Highland when he put 133 pound 12 ounces onto the scales at the final whistle. SIMON caught at variuos distances on the pole and will collect the Birmingham Banter Trophy at the Presentation Evening.
Second Place went to the consistent Michael Farrell who fished from peg 5 on The Pebble Pool and pushed the scales around to 108 pound 14 ounces. Michael had just over 10 pound of Silvers in his catch and he caught mainly on paste in the margins.
Another consistent performer of late Daz Haynes put the third best weight overall together from peg 6 on Pebble. Like Michael he caught most of his 79 pound 9 ounces from the margins.
Fourth place came off the Highland Pool with Frank Wallace netting 77 pound 11 ounces from peg 13. Frank used different baits and distances on the pole throughout the five hour contest.
We had three section prizes, two on Highland and one on Pebble. The first on Highland went to Paul Connell with 32 pound 10 ounces from peg 11,
the second going to Steve Rayner who scaled 48 pound 4 ounces from peg 15 which included just shy of 12 pound of silvers.
The Pebble section went to Nick Hull who mustered together 58 pound 6 ounces from peg 2
